Question 1

Can I play padel in the evening and in winter?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All three courts have LED lighting and a year-round canopy, so you can play day or night, in any season.

Question 2

Is padel suitable for beginners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A padel racket is shorter and lighter than a tennis racket, so it is easy to handle, and the glass walls keep rallies going. You don't need experience to have fun from your very first game, and the courts are just as good for advanced players and tournaments.

Question 3

What are the rules and equipment in padel?

Accepted Answer

Padel is usually played by four people in two teams of two. It is played on an enclosed court a little over a third the size of a tennis court, with a playing area of 20 m x 10 m. Like a tennis court it is split in the middle by a net, but unlike tennis the court is surrounded by glass walls that players can use during rallies. The aim is to win 2 out of 3 sets. A set has 6 games and scoring is the same as in tennis: 15, 30, 40, game, set. Padel rackets are quite different from tennis rackets. They are made of a hard yet light material (graphite, carbon or titanium) with a perforated, ergonomically designed face that lets air through and puts spin on the ball. Because the racket is much shorter than a tennis racket, it is much easier to handle. A padel ball is the same size and make as a tennis ball, but lighter and softer. A regular tennis ball can be used too.
